Sectors of Practice
Kathryn has been an Alberta lawyer since 2006. She focuses her practice on arbitration and quasi-judicial decision making. Kathryn chairs private arbitrations in Alberta and is appointed to the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services arbitrator lists as a grievance arbitrator under Part I of the Canada Labour Code, as an unjust dismissal adjudicator and wage recovery referee under Part III of the Canada Labour Code, and as an adjudicator under the Wage Earner Protection Program Act. Kathryn is also a tribunal member for the Alberta Human Rights Commission and a hearing panel member for the Real Estate Council of Alberta. She was a tribunal member for the Subdivision Development Appeal Board for the City of Edmonton. Kathryn has extensive experience with contracts, employment law, professional regulation, privacy, human rights law, real estate and construction.
