An Introduction to Mindfulness

Managing conflict requires us to be present in the moment, and present for our clients.  Putting aside the stress we experience in our own lives, we serve our clients during times of significant stress and conflict in their personal and professional lives.  In this respect, ours is not an easy profession.  Our speaker, Sanjeev Kumar, will introduce us to basic level mindfulness practice and how it can help to manage stress and raise productivity. A mindfulness practice breathing technique will be demonstrated, and attendees will lean more about how mindfulness techniques can enhance their lives, their practice and how we interact with our clients.

About our Speaker: 

Sanjeev Kumar is a Calgary-based Mindfulness Practitioner and author of “Practicing The Power of Present Moment”. He believes that if you are honest, truthful, and create a huge trust within yourself, then existence takes care of you no matter what happens.  Sanjeev founded the Canadian Mindfulness Research Centre in 2011 www.santeaching.comOver the past 30 years, Sanjeev Kumar has traveled extensively and worked with many people around the globe. In his journey, he met with many amazing people, learned many life-enhancing lessons and has many awakening moments which he now shares with others out of his deep desire to help people alleviate themselves out of their pain and sufferings just like the way he was once helped.

His book “Practicing The Power of Present Moment” teaches lessons on living an aware, mindful life filled with joy. He invites readers to celebrate each moment.  Sanjeev offers workshops and programs on a variety of different subjects such as Health & Wellness, Anger Management, Stress-Free Life, Work-Life balance, Self-Love & Compassion, Emotional Intelligence, Depression and Anxiety etc, all based on mindfulness practice to enhance motivation and productivity for individual well-being.


Please register online and then pay at the door. Cash or cheque only (cheques made out to the Danish Canadian Club). ADRIA member rate is $25 and the non-member rate is $35.
